The Role
As our Group Commercial Finance Assistant at CentralNic, you will gain exposure working with Financial Analysts in various accounting and/or financial management duties hand in hand. You will be reporting to Group Director of Commercial and Operational Finance and will work alongside the finance teams globally.
This role will ideally be based in Brisbane, however we are working remotely at the moment but will be taking a hybrid approach post-pandemic.
Key outcomes of the role will include
Reconciliation of Retail and other divisions Revenue and Cost of sales between different sources of data (KPI reports, sales reports, LucaNet, BI tool)
Use the differences identified to convert IFRS budget and reforecast data into an operational budget
Support Operating expenses analysis
Assist with ad hoc financial support and analysis
About you
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and in writing
Have exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Be a creative thinker, always thinking “how can we”
Show a strong desire to succeed and make a difference
Experience and skills that will help you succeed
Some relevant experience and a qualification in finance, accounting, business, economics or a related field is preferrable
Knowledge and ability to use advanced functions of spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel
Demonstrable experience in a similar role is advantageous
Good eye for detail and an analytical mindset

The Process
Our process will consist of an initial phone screen conversation over video via Google Meet with a member of our People team to make sure your expectations of the role are aligned with the business needs. There will then be the first round which will be a competency-based interview with the Hiring Manager, followed by a final interview with the Finance Director.
We aim to keep you informed throughout the process so we will be communicative and transparent throughout (which also happens to be one of our company values)!
Location
The role will ideally be based at our Brisbane office. We embrace flexible working and are happy to discuss suitable arrangements that will work for everyone.
