About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Tutor to join our team of professionals delivering Apprenticeship programmes across a wide range of vocational sectors on a nationwide basis. This a new role designed to support Apprenticeship learners working at all levels and with varying levels of experience. This is a great opportunity to play an integral part in shaping the role and enhancing support designed to address individual learning needs. This role is offered on a full-time basis and there is an option for a job share with two part-time roles working 20 hours per week.

As part of this role you will:

• Carry out in-depth initial assessments using a variety of tools to identify neurodiversity, learning difficulties, and or disabilities that require adjustments and personalised learning support.

• Establish learning support needs and identify any hidden needs that would place the apprentice at a disadvantage and negatively impact their ability to successfully complete their apprenticeship programme.

• Provide Individualised learning support plans detailing identified barriers to learning, adjustments or strategies required, deliver monthly interventions which address the apprentice’s identified needs and complete a review of progress and impact.

• Work collaboratively with vocational tutors and employers to ensure support is delivered in line with the curriculum plan and workplace needs.

• Deliver high-quality individual or group interventions that are designed to motivate, develop confidence and scaffold vocational learning

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• We are looking for candidates who have excellent communication skills and the ability to create great rapport, helping you not only to support our learners, but to engage with employers and vocational tutors about each learner’s progress.
• You will have substantial experience and knowledge of assessing and supporting adults with a range of learning support needs.
• You will also be highly organised, with demonstrated planning and time-management skills, supported by good IT skills and meet the criteria as laid out in the person specification for the role.
• Experience of delivering high quality learning support or training that meets Government funded compliance requirements and Ofsted quality standards, ideally within Apprenticeship provision..
