Summary of Position
Online Adjunct Instructor is responsible for teaching online courses for the department of Education as needed.

Online Adjunct Instructor is responsible for teaching online courses for the department of Education as needed.
Minimum Required Education
Masters Degree in Educational Psychology, Psychology or Education or Masters degree in Adult and Developmental Education, Counseling and Psychology, College Student Development, or Educational Counseling with 3 graduate hours in learning strategies or human learning or adult learning or cognitive psychology or learning motivation and emotion, or biological bases of behavior or Masters degree with 18 graduate hours in educational psychology, psychology, or education including 3 graduate hours in learning strategies or human learning or adult learning or cognitive psychology or learning motivation and emotion, or biological bases of behavior.
Minimum Required Experience
College-level teaching experience desired. Experience with distant learning preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrate ability to use MS Office and HTML, Dreamweaver and other web and design tools.Knowledge of Blackboard online course delivery.Knowledge of desktop conferencing, and other instructional technologies including: attaching files to email; opening files attached to incoming email, copying and pasting text from a word processor into an email message; entering text into textboxes and using basic editing tools; running relevant applications; creating, saving, and managing computer files; downloading and installing software and plug-ins; setting up and monitoring an online discussion board/forum; using messages, voice boards, and live classrooms.Must be able to communicate clearly using standard spoken and written English.Must be willing to enhance technological skills and participate in professional development as requested by the department.Must have computer with minimum Windows XP, 512 MB RAM, 5GB HD, Internet Browser other than AOL (Internet Explorer 7.0 preferred), MS Word, Audio/Video Player.
