Central Pacific Bank Hiring for Talent Acquisition Specialist (I, II, III) Full Time

Position Function:

The Specialist supports all areas of Talent Acquisition operations with a focus on entry-level Recruiter responsibilities as well as operating as a back-up to the Senior Specialist. Maintains salary and FTE budget tracking in relation to staffing action requests. Post job openings. Conducts phone screens and schedules interviews as needed. Prepares new hire paperwork for pending job offers. Executes new hire onboarding process in collaboration with recruiter and hiring manager. This is a highly visible, hands-on position that will act as the primary contact for a major area of the company.

Duties:

• Recruitment:
  • Able to work independently while performing talent acquisition functions (posting job openings, assist with job fairs, phone screening candidates, preparing new hire paperwork, etc.).
  • Processes and track talent acquisition related expenses.
• Onboarding:
  • Point of contact for all pre-employment activities following verbal job offer.
  • Interacts directly with new hire to provide a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience.
  • Coordinates pre-employment checks to ensure new hire meets the Bank’s conditions of employment.
  • Coordinates with new hire, hiring manager, and internal partners to finalize new hire start date and orientation date.
• ing and Metrics:
  • Maintains data for weekly tracking and ing of recruitment activity for senior management.
  • Prepares offer approval request and maintains data on approval status.
• Projects:
  • Participates in departmental project work focused on delivering operational efficiencies and innovations to drive the Talent Acquisition function forward.
  • Assists with other department specific projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field of study preferred.

Experience:

• 1-3+ years of administrative or processing experience with a focus on detail-oriented and customer-centric responsibilities (A bachelor’s degree can substitute for 2 years of work experience.)
• Talent acquisition or business analysis experience preferred.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
• Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
• Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
• Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
• Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
