What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the Finance Officer contributes to Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) meeting its financial management and reporting requirements.
The Position is part of CCLHD’s financial accounting team responsible for the general ledger, assets, leases, grants and rights of private practice.
The incumbent will contribute to the development and review of financial reports and registers.
The position provides high quality accounting information and timely and accurate reporting.
The incumbent will also undertake tasks and projects across various accounting portfolios, including business partner support.
Selection Criteria:
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Commerce or similar or meet the criteria to be accepted as a member of a recognised Australian professional accounting body.
- Experience in financial accounting asset accounting and / or management accounting.
- Highly developed communication skills including collaborating with the team, senior managers, clinicians and external providers to ensure achievement of service objectives.
- Advanced knowledge and practical skills in Oracle or similar systems and highly advanced skills in MS Office software (particularly Excel and Word).
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical skills and experience in working with large datasets, undertaking complex reconciliations and preparing detailed accounting information and reports.
- Demonstrated capacity to prioritise workloads to meet competing demands.
- Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute.
