VP of Finance & Accounting

Central Austin Management Group (CAMG) is an innovative and dynamic full-service commercial real estate development firm, focused on building for Austin’s creative class. Signature projects include Canopy and Springdale
General, recipient of ULI’s 2019 Most Influential Project award. With over 300,000 sqft. currently under management across 15 properties, we have a diverse portfolio ranging from adaptive reuse office/retail to ground-up creative campuses. And we are growing.

We have acquired several parcels with the ability to develop over a million square feet of mixed-use creative spaces over the next five years. As the VP of Finance & Accounting you will lead our financial reporting and planning processes, operational and core services functions, and development of business insights. You will have the opportunity to influence the forward- looking vision of the business through responsibly developing and executing on a plan to grow the business both organically and through acquisition. You are a strong, values driven leader with a proven track record in building and developing teams through collaboration, open communication, and mentoring.

What you’ll do:

• Mentor and develop accounting, operations and core services teams using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and monitor and evaluate results
• Implement scalable and integrated processes and systems for finance, property management and development and construction activities.
• Provide strategic financial planning and analysis for the business and its development projects through comprehensive budgeting and forecasting
• Advise executive leadership in determining tax efficient capital structures, appropriate debt levels, and operational improvements.
• Manage treasury and funds flow activities with strategic view to cash forecasting and idle cash investment
• Lead financial reporting process and effective communication of results to all stakeholders
• Provide guidance and review of legal agreements
• Oversee audits, tax preparation, and risk management activities.
• Develop and coordinate relationships with lending and other financial institutions

Who you are:

• You have a BBA in accounting or related field.
• Preferably, you have prior experience in the Development/Property Management industry and Partnership

Accounting

• You have familiarity in legal contract review
• If you have a CPA certification, that is a plus, but not required

• You have a proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
• You have strong mentoring and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of capability
• You are an entrepreneurial team player who can multitask

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $99,551.00 – $209,987.00 per year
