Packer (Edmonton, AB)

ing directly to the Production Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Packer will include but will not be limited to:

• Operate machines
• High attention to detail and quality control expectations
• problems with product and/or equipment to Supervisor immediately
• Uphold our safety standards and any potential violations to supervisor or safety committee member
• Transfer product into appropriate vacuum bag and seal in Vacuum machine/Multivac Machine and/or insert package into box on tables as instructed by Supervisor
• Inspect packages for leaks
• Check packages for proper weight at frequency specified by Supervisor
• Make sure boxes are formed and labeled properly, (e.g.: Ensure that proper weights, description and production date is correct on each box)
• Clean machines and tools prior to end of shift and fulfill HACCP requirements
• Extra duties as assigned by manager
• Monday to Friday, day shift. Statutory holidays off.

Qualifications

• Previous food processing experience an asset
• Must be comfortable with colder environments
• Able to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds or more
• Very good or better, written and verbal English skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work within deadlines
• Training provided
