Ultimately, the role of the Software Engineer is to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing electronic control solutions that complies with coding standards and technical design.

Responsibilities

• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
• Write well-designed, testable code
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
• Integrate software and hardware components into a fully functional system
• Develop software & hardware verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Troubleshoot, debug and diagnose problems with new & existing systems
• Comply with project plans and industry standards including functional safety
• Ensure system design practices align with goals & standards
• Provide manufacturing and field service support/troubleshooting

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience designing interactive UIs
• Ability to develop software in CodeSys, Cscape and other programming languages
• Understands web communication and data transmission techniques
• Experience with Off-Highway/On-Highway mobile equipment
• Experience with Electro-Hydraulic Control Systems
• Experience with CAN vehicle communications (i.e. J1939, ISO11783)
• Experience using CANalyzer, CanKing, etc.
• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Experience with test-driven development
• Experience and understanding of commercially available hardware from Eaton, Horner Automation, Danfoss and others
• Experience with DFMEA, SFMEA and Functional Safety
• Proficiency in software engineering tools
• Ability to document machine system requirements and develop hardware/software requirements
• BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
