Scope & Purpose
⭐*An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join Celestra HR team as HR Apprentice. As the HR Apprentice you will be supported by the Recruitment Specialist as well as the HR Manager, whilst studying for your Human Resources Apprenticeship. This is a fantastic opportunity for a bright, bubbly and people-focused individual wishing to develop a career in HR. You will be an integral member of the team undertaking duties across a range of HR and payroll activities including recruitment and selection, data management, reporting, compliance, payroll and pension administration, benefits & reward and general HR administration.⭐*
Duties will include but not limited to:
✩ Providing administrative support to the HR & Recruitment team!
✩ Act alongside the HR Manager and Recruitment specialist as a first point of contact for employee enquiries and respond or refer enquiries as appropriate.
✩ Maintain the HR & ATS System (bob) with any changes
✩ Assist in recruitment administration, working with hiring managers, reference checking and submitted DBS requests through to Experian.
✩ Owning the on boarding process, including sending new starter packs, working with IT, setting up introduction meetings with key stakeholders, administering the buddy programme
✩ Being involved in the Employee Wellbeing committee and working toward our 5C’s and core values!
✩ Maintain HR data to feed into HR Analytics feeding into a monthly dashboard of People Team Analytics.
✩ Supporting the HR Manager with all Employee Relations procedures and queries and ensure that a streamlined companywide approach is used, ensuring the correct escalation of queries to the appropriate person
✩ Management of HR documentation, from offer letters, contracts and all contractual changes through the employee life cycle
✩ Work with Line Managers in managing day to day queries such as sickness, absence, Maternity and Paternity queries as well as offering advice through investigations and disciplinaries
✩ Accurately maintain the HR system, ensuring fully compliant with all employment legislation
✩ General admin, including but not limited to filing, referencing, reporting, raising purchase orders and ordering PPE & uniform
✩ Carry out background checks on all new starters within the business
✩ Ensure all employee data is entered and maintained on the HR database in a timely, accurate and consistent manner, including sending any relevant letters/paperwork
✩ Ensure a high level of confidentiality is maintained in all aspects of work
✩ Work closely with the HR Manager on any ad-hoc projects
✩ Contribute towards the HR strategy and assist with reviewing processes and practices as necessary
The successful candidate will have/be:
