JOB SUMMARY
This position’s primary purpose is to partner with the local functional and operational leaders to deliver full generalist HR remit in line with the strategic objectives of the Celeros HR team. Support designated management population to improve capability and facilitate the delivery of the end to end HR Life Cycle.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, support in the management of ER cases including discipline, grievance, absence management and restructuring activities; partnering with the Talent Acquisition Manager to ensure an efficient and effective end to end recruitment process; supporting performance management and improvement processes and talent health checks. This role may assume additional duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of employment law and work well with others. Additionally, they will have strong customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels throughout the organization. There will also be a requirement to travel between various UK locations
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration and delivery of human resources policies and procedures required by the respective Business Units to ensure people managers have the appropriate tools to enable their teams to meet their objectives
Provide functional / operational management with assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving work performance gaps or staffing needs
Advise and assist managers in preparing disciplinary documentation, performance improvement action plans, and grievance and appeal responses. Analyse facts and provide guidance, recommendations and resolutions to managers and employees
Support the talent acquisition process ensuring and efficient and timely end to end process.
Work with HRBPs in relation to redundancy documentation preparation, employee and manager counselling, and managing third party providers
Deliver group training sessions to managers in relation to all employee relations issues as appropriate
Work with managers to reduce sickness absence within areas of responsibility
Update and maintain group HR trackers
Ensure processes exist to enable all employees to foster understanding of their business unit, company goals and objectives
Devise and plan controls for new or established HR processes to prevent inaccurate data, loss of data and to ensure discovery of data errors, including data privacy compliance (GDPR)
Identify or generate reports as needed to provide management information to operational leaders and provide information to support people related activity
Analyse needs, develop and deliver individual coaching and/or group training to ensure optimal and efficient performance within the workplace
Plays key role in ensuring working procedures comply with laws and regulations; stays abreast of laws and regulations through professional reading, electronic professional websites and internal counsel
Work on HR projects to optimise the HR proposition and service delivery
Analyse Employee Engagement Trends per annual survey and support facilitation of improvements with management population.
Support the planning and delivery of the end of year performance and reward cycles.
Support employee welfare initiatives including helping drive the on-site programme of mental and physical health awareness sessions and to optimise maximum effectiveness of the company Wellbeing Ambassadors.
Assist with driving and managing local communication initiatives to improve employee engagement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of HR related laws and regulations
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast-paced and demanding
Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organisational skills
Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
Proficient in all MS products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated ability in creative problem-solving and project management skills
Strong verbal and written communications and perform a variety of tasks including special projects with a degree of creativity and latitude
Relies on minimal instructions and pre-established guidelines, may require independent judgement to perform the functions of the job
Ability to work in a change focused environment whilst remaining dedicated to service delivery
Ability to work with SLAs & KPIs
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required
Strong understanding of Human Resource concepts, practices and procedures
Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience required
Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organisational skills
Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
Preferred
CIPD Level 7
