Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

Rate of Pay: $141,400 per year

Major Responsibilities: Design and build new RESTful APIs with Node.js Design and build API adapters, bridging modern and legacy web services. Build SPA in JavaScript, TypeScript and React.js. Work with databases such as NoSQL and Relational. Create unit, integration, security and functional testing across all code that meets or exceeds company standards. Debug integration issues and deploy hotfix patches as needed. Focus on automation and continuous delivery (TDD, CICD). Build production-quality enterprise grade software that achieve target SLAs for scalability, reliability, and performance on schedule. Experience with Git, Atlassian stack. Telecommuting Permitted.

Job Requirements: Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field and 3 years of work experience in software development or related field. In the alternative, employer will accept: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field and 1 year of work experience in software development or related field. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: 1) JEST or another unit testing framework; 2) AWS API Gateway, AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, AWS RDS, AWS Timestream; 3) Understanding of Swagger (OpenAPI/Swagger) REST API specification standards; 4) Git, Atlassian stack; and 5) Understanding of deployment tools such as Bamboo.
