Role overview
Purpose
BII uses eFront as its investment portfolio book of record and investment management platform. The platform has been commissioned in phased manner and, in July 2021, it became the sole platform in use.

• BII is looking for a candidate experienced in working on eFront or a similar platform to join its eFront application development team.
• The role will support the building out of additional functionality, reporting capabilities and insight across eFront, FontInvest and FrontPM.
• The successful candidate will have a grounding in analysing requirements, contributing to solution design and maintaining business intelligence solutions and reports, ideally with a background in private equity/alternative investments and fund accounting.

Responsibilities
We need a hands-on consultant that can:

• Liaise with investment and operations teams to identify areas where eFront could benefit their work and improve processes, workflows, and information insights.
• Liaise with the vendor to ensure solutions meet requirements and assist in any technical questions that may arise.
• Own the creation of the technical documentation including solution proposal and user guides to provide clarity on how best to use the feature.
• Own and manage the data migration process, able to translate historical off platform data into an eFront import format.
• Help analyse, specify, and deliver additional reports, data extracts, queries and dashboards
• Help manage and maintain a report catalogue
• Modify and update existing reports as necessary
• Become a recognised expert on the eFront platform within the organisation and develop sector expertise to ensure we are delivering the best fit solution.

The candidate
Background, skills, aptitude

• Experience with eFront (or equivalent platform) configuration and reporting tools including formal reports, dashboards and Excel reports and data ideally gained in a Private Equity (PE) / Alternative Markets environment.
• An exceptional candidate without eFront experience would be considered if skilled in another similar portfolio management/fund admin systems such as Investran, Framework, AnalytX).
• Extensive knowledge of SQL, SSRS, DBMS and reporting tools
• Proof of successful management of small technology implementation/change projects
• some experience with a programming language, JavaScript or VB.NET is a plus.
