CBRE Hiring for Project Manager Full Time

The purpose of the project manager is to support a construction project management program and team across the Gulf Coast region for an international oil and gas client, ensuring achievement of established client and internal strategic business objectives. Key project delivery focus areas include safety stewardship, scope, budget, schedule, and quality and risk management.

JOB LOCATION: Beaumont, TX (Must be within driving distance of Beaumont, TX to be considered for this job.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction, review status of work completed during the period covered, review that work is generally proceeding in a safe, good and workmanlike manner and in general accordance with the approved drawings and specifications, as well as client safety program.
• Supports construction and renovation projects in the US Gulf Coast region and ensures thorough staff understanding and implementation of safety requirements, operations, policies, and procedures.
• Supports regional project s, stewards account specific KPIs and contributes to overall program enhancements. Performs training and on-going mentoring for junior level staff.
• Interfaces directly with clients to ensure projects are being delivered against established expectations and to explore/implement opportunities for program enhancement.
• Demonstrates a knowledge of projects & project management within the context of business results (business case, larger economic implications, business risk, etc.)
• Manages all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.
• Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard to moderately complex documents affecting real estate projects, including but not limited to agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings.
• Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
• Identifies project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process; conducts standard request for proposals; completes bid analysis; recommends resources to clients.
• Leads project delivery resources/team providing project guidance and direction to achieve project goals.
• Implements communication plan for meetings and written s/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed. Facilitates project meetings.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from College or University in a technical area of study.
• Minimum four years of experience in a construction project manager role for industrial or oil & gas clients.
• Experience in oil and gas or similar industry with strong safety programs preferred.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred.

Ability to write s, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
