Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our fast-growing team at Cazoo and shape the way we hire brilliant and diverse talent in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering and Tech Leadership in the UK. You’ll work closely with some hugely talented and supportive stakeholders to create a thoughtful and engaging candidate experience and hiring process.

This role will be an initial 1 year Fixed Term contract.

You will be someone who can work at pace across multiple vacancies, using effective Sourcing channels (advertising, pro-active Search, Agencies/Vendors) and developing our employer brand. Someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on attitude and a data-driven mindset, always sharing fresh ideas for improving our processes and candidate experience.

What you’ll be doing:

• Effectively Source and review applications. Develop a Sourcing strategy that will supply a diverse range of leading talent in a timeframe that supports the business to deliver
• Screen candidates to evaluate their values and potential as well as their competency to perform the role
• Partner with Hiring Managers ensuring all aspects of the role’s requirements have been explored effectively to define the desired candidate profile, key skills and experience required
• Coach Hiring Managers in recruiting techniques
• Work with our existing Talent team to take a proactive approach to headcount planning and utilising your time effectively
• Map/identify the most relevant candidates to approach for each open and future role.
• Search and select job boards/CV databases to source and approach suitable candidates
• Manage the interview process and consult into the business on offer management and candidate onboarding
• Ad-hoc projects as and when required, such as benchmarking, organising events and meetups.
• Keep up with wider recruitment trends and changes in the Software Engineering talent market and tech space

About you:

• A strong foundation of in-house or agency talent acquisition experience is required
• Have managed multiple concurrent vacancies and are motivated to provide the best experience for both candidate and business stakeholders
• Knowledge of Software Engineering and Technology Talent market is preferred but definitely not required.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems, talent pooling, pro-active sourcing (LinkedIn Recruiter etc.) will be extremely useful
• Always learning, you have a growth mindset and you are happy to ask questions and you treat mistakes as opportunities to learn
• Target driven; you care about getting things done and when obstacles inevitably get in the way, you know how to navigate.
• Organised – able to project manage complex processes with multiple hiring managers.

• Screening Interview: 45 minute interview with the Technology TA Manager to discuss your experience and motivations. We really just want to understand you a little better and share as much information as possible about life at Cazoo.
• Scenario based interview: 1 hour interview where we will ask you to put yourself in a common Talent Acquisition scenario and come up with some solutions that would help us achieve the best outcome (don’t worry there will; be plenty of time to prep and support on the day)
• Decision: We will aim to provide you with quality feedback on the process and if we move forward there will be more opportunities to get all the info you need to make the best decision for all involved
