Catskill Dermatology Hiring for at Monticello, NY Full Time

The Pathology Data Entry Clerk accurately types and enters laboratory results, as well as patient demographics. This person must be on the alert for data that is unclear or inconsistent on requisitions and must follow corrective actions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Types medical laboratory results from requisition forms
• Proofreads typewritten s to ensure typographical/grammatical accuracy
• Enters patient, physician and specimen information accurately and efficiently
• Ensures that all logs, requisition forms, and s are filed and all related entries are up to date
• Answering telephones, scheduling patient appointments
• Verify patient insurance
• Performs other duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Data entry experience preferably in health care setting.
• Type 40 wpm ensuring correct spelling and grammar.
• Ability to multi-task, provide quality customer service, prioritize and critical thinking

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
