We currently have an exciting opportunity for a positive individual to join our team as a Community Education Officer in Scotland. You will join us working 35 hours per week, on a permanent basis and will be based remotely. In return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £31,629.41 per annum plus excellent benefits. The ideal candidate will be based in mainland Scotland, North of Glasgow/Edinburgh.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of adoption and homing centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2021 we helped 137,000 cats and kittens. That’s the equivalent of around 375 cats a day!
You’ll be joining a friendly team of seven regionally based Community Education Officers and an admin support. Your role will report to the Head of Education.
Responsibilities of our Community Education Officer:
The main purpose of this role is to implement Cats Protection’s Education strategy within Scotland, ensuring that Cats Protection’s messages are delivered effectively to existing and new audiences. You will also be expected to gather management information on numbers of people reached with education activity, including demographic data and responses to calls for action. You will be expected to engage in education and awareness activities with audiences such as Education Authorities, Local Authorities, Social Work and Social Housing departments.
