Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (CSVPA) is one of the UK’s leading providers of Art & Design, Drama and Music pathway and degree programmes. OVERVIEW OF THE JOB
To deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across the Pathway within the Extended Diploma, Foundation and other courses as required to maximise learner progress and outcomes in meeting both student and college’s goals. We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, innovative, and multidisciplinary practitioner to teach Experimental Studies classes to Extended Diploma and Foundation Diploma in Art & Design students. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of teaching, curriculum planning and facilitate a stimulating learning environment that inspires our students. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of current drawing-based approaches and have experience teaching technical as well as experimental methods and techniques. Experimental Studies classes explore traditional and contemporary approaches to drawing, mark making, collage, painting and colour theory through individual and collaborative projects. This is complemented with biweekly Life Drawing sessions that develop students’ comparative measuring skills and understanding of the human form.
