Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta Hiring for Instructional Coach Job at Australia Full Time

We are seeking a skilled Instructional Coach to be accountable for leading and learning, through collaboration, instructional leadership, supporting evidence-based practice and a commitment to their own learning.

The Instructional Coach:

• Contributes to the delivery of the system strategic intent and learning agenda within the local school context
• Exercises Catholic leadership and fosters the faith formation of students and staff
• Leads the implementation of the learning framework, agreed pedagogical practice, and school action plan with a focus on literacy and numeracy skills
• Coaches teachers and models agreed practice to support students at the point of need using data and research-informed practice in literacy and numeracy
• Enables teachers to transfer intervention strategies to the local context
• Supports teachers in the use of assessment and developing differentiated and personalised learning opportunities
• Analyses and uses data to assist other leaders and teachers in understanding student and teacher learning needs
• Informs the professional learning and capacity building program of the school
• Contributes to a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility across the school

Typical Experience and Qualifications:

• Accredited tertiary qualification in education or degree in a specific discipline with a graduate degree in teaching
• Experience in intervention strategies across literacy and/or numeracy such as R3, EMU, TLP
• Demonstrated success in improving student learning outcomes in literacy and numeracy
• Capacity to work with other professionals to improve practice
• Working with Children Check
• Australian resident or citizen

The Organisation

Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.

This position involves working with children.
