Cathcart Technology Hiring for Test Lead at Glasgow Full Time

A renowned company in central Glasgow are looking for an experienced Test Lead to join their team.

The Role
You will be joining an established test team, testing is integrated from the start to ensure that the end product is of high quality, rather than being something just tacked on the end of the development process.

You will be expected to take the lead in test projects, guiding other members of the test team, ensuring they stay on track and adhere to best practices for the company. The organisation is dedicated to their employees and offer various paths to develop skills, with ongoing training and development so you will still receive guidance from Senior Test Engineers along the way.

The role will be a mixture of manual and automation testing for both internal and external projects, you will plan and develop the automated test scripts for their web-based projects, but there will always be a variety of different things to get stuck into.

The team are very collaborative, and it’s necessary that you are able to mentor and support other testers with your knowledge, taking responsibility for the quality of the solutions being presented to their clients.
You’ll be a strong Test Lead, with previous line management experience. It goes without saying that you will be a strong communicator. Not only will you be managing a team of 6 testers, but you will also need to provide feedback to internal teams and clients.

You’ll have most of the following skills/experience:
** Manual and automation testing experience – Functional, Integration, Regression, Stress, Performance, Penetration etc.
** JavaScript or Python scripting experience
** SQL Server or similar relational database
**Strong experience leading a test team

Salary and Location
Based close to the city centre of Glasgow, the offices are commutable via car or public transport and are also walking distance from both train stations.

The company are able to offer a salary of between £50,000 to £60,000 depending on experience with a strong range of benefits on offer as well with everything from a gym membership to personalised training programmes.
