Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for an experienced Recruiter to join the Talent Acquisition Team in Australia, based in either Melbourne, Perth or Brisbane.
Reporting to the Recruitment Manager (based internationally), you will be accountable for managing the recruitment and sourcing of staff for Caterpillar of Australia nationally.
To succeed in the position you must be highly autonomous and self-motivated whilst working as part of a small team both locally and across the Asia Pacific region.
You will work closely with hiring managers, employees and Human Resources to build relationships and develop sound knowledge of their business hiring needs.
Utilising your knowledge of the recruitment industry, you will provide managers with sound advice on the most appropriate recruiting channels and marketing methods.
In this role you will take full ownership of the recruitment life cycle.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited too;
Primary contact for hiring managers for all their recruitment needs
Manage the candidate pipeline by implementing effective sourcing strategies
Develop and maintain effective relations with the Human Resources and recruitment channel partners (agencies) delivering the recruitment services as appropriate.
Maintain and ensure compliance with local recruitment policies & processes.
Provide recruiting status updates to Regional and Global Recruiting Leadership including performance vs targets, sourcing/recruiting challenges/issues etc.
Collaborate with other regions to share knowledge and lessons-learned. Provide back-up recruiting services for other regions as needed.
Ownership of University career fairs, hiring of graduates and interns
A large portion of your role will include;
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain effective relations with the hiring managers in span of support, with the capacity to manage multiple internal customers with ease.
Influencing and Negotiation skills: Ability to lead and coordinate efforts for recruiting team(s) assigned to support requisitions in span of support without a solid line reporting relationship
Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze and interpret data including recruiting metrics
Excellent Communication Skills: Displays strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with various levels of the organization, including strong written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English is a must.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Experience in inhouse recruitment
University degree and/or equivalent experience.
4+ years of recruitment/human resources job-related experience.
A friendly disposition with a willingness to help others
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Must be able to build strong working relationship to succeed in this role
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Self-motivation and a desire to learn
Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter & SharePoint
Desired Attributes:

Experience with Workday
