JOB PURPOSE:

Caterpillar Large Power Systems Division currently is looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer to perform structural analysis of diesel engine and fuel systems in support of research and development programs, field issue resolutions, and new technology introduction.

JOB DUTIES:

The role will be a structural analysis engineer who will:

• Conduct analytical simulations using ABAQUS, Hypermesh, FE-Safe
• Interpreting and ing of results
• Recommending design improvements/enhancements
• Failure analysis and investigation
• Work closely with design and test counterparts in developing new components, systems, and simulation processes

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1-3 years of experience, or a Ph.D.
• 1-3 years of related analysis experience
• Structural Mechanics/Dynamics experience
• Experience with ABAQUS, NSTRAN or ANSYS
• Strong technical and professional knowledge

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering
