Based in any of Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Adelaide, this exciting position provides exposure to the underground mining sector in a friendly and dynamic team. Our local team works globally with other product groups and remote customers to provide opportunity to travel for face to face collaboration and on-site activities.

You are a technical Business Analyst with a history of identifying and analysing real world problems. You will be an out of the box thinker who is happy working on a variety of problems. You are a self-starter who enjoys seeing a solution through to completion. Happy to balance work between your home and the office. You take pride in the quality of your work and enjoy collaborating with the wider team and customers to help create the best solution possible. You may have experience with automation or machine integration systems that utilise sensory inputs to deliver tracking and optimisation of mine sites or other manufacturing/plant operations. You enjoy occasional trips to site and enjoy watching a solution achieve its objective for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Gain a thorough understanding of Minestar and the capability/feature set(s) applicable and be able to gather, refine and articulate the needs of the project, including functions, processes, workflows using a defined methodology including workshop facilitation, data analysis, stakeholder interviews.

• Accurately describe the problem statement, business impact and user experience across Minestar and other products where relevant.

• Collect and document business requirements for project and process improvement/automation efforts.

• Define the acceptance criteria for features and requirements to ensure clarity for delivery team(s).

• Identify conflicting requirements across the team and the program of work and escalate for resolution.

• Analyse user requirements and deliver artefacts to assist with understanding – including domain modelling, workflows, user stories and interface design, by liaising with a range of people including commercial and technical teams, drawing together information needs from across the organisation.

• Work closely with the product team members to ensure that the product meets the agreed requirements and to ensure the product is of a high quality.

Experience required:

3+ Years of relevant commercial experience

Skills Required:

• Strong customer focus

• Exposure to with engineering based Product Development

• Exposure to Requirements Management processes and tools

• Understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle

• Willingness to learn and consistent approach to self-development and improvement.

• Willingness to take on-board and provide feedback to colleagues, junior team members, and leaders.

• Analytical, design and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to effectively manage your own time and agreed priorities.

• Understanding of modern technologies and methods of working.

• Asks for help as appropriate and demonstrates that they have learnt from it.

Skills Desired:

• Exposure to Agile and other Project Management frameworks.

• Autonomous vehicles, robotics or other dynamic system applications

• Understanding of networking and distributed systems

• Understanding of underground mining processes
