Job Title: Accounting Manager

Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 (Depending on Experience)

Location : Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Benefits: 25 days annual leave,

Up to 18% Bonus

Car Allowance – £580pcm

Contributory pension scheme- Caterpillar will double the employee’s contribution up to 10%

Contributory share scheme – Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee’s contribution

In the Accounting Manager position, you will provide expertise on complex business, financial or managerial issues within a business unit environment. This role provides the foundation to develop into one of our future business leaders. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as high levels of leadership and initiative.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Leading a team of 6.

• Responsibility for all aspects of Variable and Period Accounting, including business insight, decision support, transfer price setting, normals, LE Close, Compliance and Corporate submissions

• Be a Trusted Business Partner and provide reporting with insight with recommendations to the business

• Process Improvement mind set – utilise lean concepts to continuously improve processes

Skills and Experience:

Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

• Progressive experience within a finance role.

• Strong analytical, process improvement, problem solving and human relations skills

• Excellent business partnering skills

• Leading change

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present at a senior level

• Fully qualified in a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)

• Previous leadership experience

Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

• Prior knowledge of Caterpillar systems

• Industry accounting experience

• Analytics software packages such as Alteryx and Power BI
