Position Summary:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Sorter/Packer is responsible for sorting capsules for defects. In addition, the incumbent will transfer product for packaging for assembly on the packaging line.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect capsules for defects and foreigners in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Transfer sorted capsules onto packaging line and pack as per product documentation.

Sanitize trays.

Assemble and label boxes in accordance with product documentation.

Transfer packaged capsules onto skid for shipment and stage in warehouse.

Polish capsules as required.

Tape boxes and apply identification labels.

Replenish supplies as required daily.

Complete all documentation as required.

Comply with all SOPs and GMPs.

Qualified employees may be requested to assist Supervisors in the training of employees.

May be asked to work extended hours (overtime), especially when problems occur or when deadlines must be met.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma

Experience:
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility.

Skills Required:
Strong mathematical skills in order to compute simple calculations (adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, percent and averages).

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Possess a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.

Position located in Windsor, Ontario.

Regular working hours: 12 hour rotating continental shifts.
