Our finance team are looking for an Accounting Assistant to support them over the next few months on a rolling temporary contract; ideally 25 hours a week based in our Mangotsfield office but with the ability to work remotely; we are happy to discuss working pattern during interview as this can be flexible. The salary for this role is £15,037 and you will report into the Head of Finance, Sue Wright.

This role is eligible for the Local Government Pension scheme.

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to progress in their career within Finance. You will provide support to the team across all areas of the function, thereby obtaining a high level of experience within all the different facets of a finance role. You will be responsible for monitoring and recording income across the Trust and provide an efficient purchase function for the Partnership Team. As part of this role you will be given training to ensure management of the finance system, which is an integral part of our function.

About You

Highly motivated and flexible in your approach to work, with demonstrable capacity for adapting to challenging and changing work and deadlines. You will also be able to remain calm under pressure and be able to work without supervision, to work to tight deadlines. You’ll be personable and able to build effective relationships including being able to convey financial data to non-finance people. You will be comfortable working as part of a team and supporting your team as required. You will have a high level of professionalism and the highest levels of confidentiality. You will be confident in being able to provide suggestions for improvements to systems or processes. You will be able to draw on your own initiative, and have an exceptional attention to detail.
