About The Position
This position is responsible for greeting customers, operating the POS system, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The Cashier also plays a role in promoting the “Change Round-up” program to support the Memphis Goodwill mission and assists with various store operations including stocking, merchandising, and training new staff.
Requirements

- Ability to place and rotate merchandise on the sales floor.

- Attendance at assigned training sessions.
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner, offering assistance.
- Operating the POS system for accurate and efficient sales data entry.
- Ensuring proper cash handling of all transactions, including coupons and discounts.
- Promoting and processing the “Change Round-up” program for customer donations.
- Maintaining cleanliness of store areas including front doors, counters, glass, cases, and dressing rooms.
- Assisting with promotions, customer information, postings, and special sign displays.
- Stocking and maintaining counter, showcases, and cash/wraps in a neat and clean condition.
- Working safely, adhering to proper equipment handling, and reporting safety hazards.
- Assisting in training new cashiers.
- Placing apparel, wares, shoes, and accessories on the sales floor in correct locations and rotating merchandise.
- Adhering to all Memphis Goodwill policies and procedures, including those related to safety, theft, and cash handling.
- Performing assigned duties within the framework of Guiding Principles.
- Participating in activities outside of Goodwill as requested.
- Attending in-service and related training as assigned.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Team Leader Coach.
