Cascades Hiring for Millwright/Mechanic at Victoria, BC Full Time

We are looking for a new Millwright/Mechanic to fill a seat in our Victoria location. This is a day shift Monday – Friday position with plenty of OT available. If you have a couple of years of experience working in a manufacturing environment and have worked on conveyors, mobile equipment, lines and similar equipment please do not hesitate and apply today.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for preventative maintenance activities

Complete various repair and maintenance projects;

Perform the required maintenance on all stationary equipment, mobile equipment and maintain all of the necessary records to support the PM program;

Carry out regular inventory control procedures;

Perform cutting, grinding, fabricating, and welding as required;

Operate mobile equipment as required in the performance of job duties;

Assist contractors with major repairs or overhauls with new equipment installation as required;

Knowledge of baler, conveyor, and mobile equipment;

Qualifications

Certificate of Millwright and Welding or enrolled in Apprenticeship school

Minimum of three years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry;

Good knowledge of electrical and hydraulics components

Proven troubleshooting ability with emphasis on safety and reliability

Be a dynamic and determined team player;

Demonstrate autonomy and adaptability in the fast-paced and change focused environment
