Your Challenge

Cascades Containerboard Packaging- Lithotech in Scarborough ON is looking for a General Labour to complete the team, who is able and flexible to work a rotating shift schedule; including 8 hour shifts (7am -3pm; 3pm-11pm; 11pm-7am).

Job Responsibilities

General housekeeping and maintaing standards of cleanliness throughout the manufacturing facility

Perform general material handing duties

Assist machine operators and crew with other duties as assigned

Assist operators with set-ups, setting feed guides that include side guides, air, pressure, rolls, feed, gauge belts and clearing jam ups

Consult with operator as to order sequence

Leave counts from previous order on desk

Manually feed stock into machine, ensure that machine is continually kept full

Check sheets for de-lamination, off register, defects etc.

Inform the operator and/or supervisor of any machine, equipmet, quality or prodction problems immediately

Ensure lockout is performed according to procedures posted on the machine

Maintans a safe, clean work area and follows all safety procedures (including lockout/tagout), 5S, AIB, and other applicable standards

Must be consciously aware of customer needs at all times

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have

Safety focused mentatility

High School Diploma or equivalent

Energetic and enthusiastic approach, balanced with strong problem solving and decision making abilities

Excellent communication, inter-personal and organizational skills

Compensation &Benefits

The wage rate for a General Labour position is $18.60 per hour
