Cascades Hiring for Controller at Trenton, ON Full Time

Reporting into the Director of Finances – Containerboard the incumbent will have the opportunity to play a key role into the plant direction.

Job Responsibilities

Month end and quarterly closing and reviews

Support and implement cost savings initiatives

Responsible for financial planning, analysis and control including leadership of annual budget process, forecasting activity and monthly reporting of actual results, ensuring the timeliness and integrity of financial data.

Track the operational and financial performance of the site in order to identify improvement opportunities and develop required action plan

Support the management team in the implementation and monitoring of strong business processes

Share and implement best practices in financial, administrative and accounting

Foster and promote Cascades’ ethical behaviors, culture and values

Be a key link between COE, share services and the plants

Desired experience

Hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, or accounting

Hold an accounting designation (CPA) is an asset

Have 5 to 10 years of experience in management accounting, combined with considerable experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment

Have the ability to work with deadlines and a changing environment

Be dynamic, resourceful, have good judgment, sense of initiative and innovation

Have skills for decision making, be action-oriented and results-oriented

Be able to establish priorities to carry out the various files under his responsibility

Demonstrate leadership, good communication skills and know-how to generate adherence

Knowledge of the SAP system would be an asset

A good command of the Office suite, more specifically Excel
