Cascade Medical, in beautiful downtown Leavenworth in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, is seeking qualified candidates for an onsite part time (.5 FTE) Data Entry Technician.

Cascade Medical operates under a strong set of Shared Values, and we are looking for a team member to perform data entry for charges from various departments to ensure timely payment to CM.

Duties:

This position performs data entry for charges from the Emergency department, Clinic, Ambulance, and inpatients to ensure that Cascade Medical receives timely payment for services. This key position interacts with the coder and other Business Office staff.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
• Accurate 10-key typing skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, and revenue codes.

Desired Qualifications:

One year experience in a clinic/hospital setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Batches charge tickets.
• Enters charges for the Emergency department, Clinic, Ambulance, and Inpatients.
• Merges charges.
• Charge corrections.
• Missing charges.
• Files charge batches.
• Prepares month end s.
• Provides reception coverage in Central Admitting as needed.
• Creates visit episodes for missing patients.
• Reviews patient pharmacy charges.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• CHARS state ing.
