Carver County Community Development Agency Hiring for Finance Manager Job at Chaska, MN Full Time

The mission of the Carver County Community Development Agency is to provide affordable housing and economic development in the cities of Carver County. We are seeking qualified candidates for our Finance Manager position. This position is an addition to staff and will report to our Finance Director and assist in the overall management of the CDA financial and budget functions and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance department, as well as serve as Assistant Director. Duties to include month end close, preparation and consolidation of monthly financials according to GAAP, GL maintenance, preparation of year- end audit schedules, and performance of special accounting projects requiring broad understanding, analytical skills, and computer spreadsheet skills.

A valid Minnesota’s Drivers License is required with access to reliable insured transportation. Final candidates are subject to a criminal background check.

Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field, 3 to 5 years plus of broad general accounting experience with increasing responsibilities , including financial statement preparation and general ledger systems, highly developed skills with Microsoft office products with proficiency in Excel. Strong analytical, interpretive, interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills required. Proven initiative to improve processes.

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred candidate will have had broad exposure in all aspects of accounting, with an emphasis on audit. CPA or real estate/property accounting experience a plus.
