Carter’s, Inc. is seeking a Social Media Specialist with strong creative writing skills and experience creating social media content to manage social properties for the most trusted childrens brands in the US. As a core team member, this candidate will be on the front lines representing our brands in the social space through content development, scheduling and tracking performance while also building a community for our family of brands. The ideal candidate for this role must be passionate about social media and have their finger on the pulse of culture and social trends. This role reports to the Sr Director, Public Affairs and Social Media.
50% Creative Content Development
– Leverage social listening tools, media monitoring and social community platforms to uncover emerging cultural trends and parenting insights to inform monthly content creation
– Leads monthly content strategy and content development from brief creation to go-live date for Carters brands across all channels—Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Tik Tok
– Leads content development through collaboration with CRI in-house creative team, external brand ambassadors/creators, influencers, and external agency partners
– Supports all key market-share weekends, KVIs, brand campaigns and diversity/inclusion programs by developing relevant social content
– Leads and executes real-time content creation leveraging consumer insights and community management to drive real-time engagement
– Collaborates with cross-functional team to ideate social content quarterly, monthly, and weekly meetings.
30% Channel Management
– Incorporates accurate project updates to status tracking—including identified creative partners, outside resources, key milestones + deadlines for all brands
– Curates and presents key social concepts for our brands during weekly creative reviews as well as monthly and quarterly business reviews
20% Influencer and Community Management
– Manages ongoing direct relationships with influencer roster, seeding key products and commissioning creative on monthly basis
– Identify and lead rights approvals for UGC (user-generated content) images to be used within social and owned channels
– Own day to day community management program to build emotional connections and relationships with customers and fans
Experience and Skills
– Must have excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple stakeholders
– Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver presentations internally and externally
– Culturally dialed-in social native – lives and breathes Internet Culture
– Proven experience with designing and executing social media content
– Must be innovative, strategic, and results-driven with a shared passion for achieving and exceeding KPIs for the organization
– Must have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners, strong collaborator
– Must have previous successful experience in a high energy, fast-paced environment
– Must have successfully managed and prioritized multiple projects with competing deadlines; must be able to allocate time and resources accordingly
– Must have the ability to champion ideas and influence key stakeholders
– Must have at least 2+ years progressive marketing experience with brand or agencies
– Highly prefer BS/BA degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
– Hands-on team player fluent in the fundamentals of branding
– Copywriting skills a plus!
– Work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment while occasionally lifting and/or moving files/product samples weighing up to 10 pounds.
