The Associate Recruiter position will provide strategic talent acquisition support for identifying, screening, interviewing and recommending qualified candidates to meet the needs of the business. The Associate Recruiter serves as a consultative partner to the HR and Hiring Manager teams, responsible for creating and implementing function specific talent acquisition strategies for identifying internal and external talent for Carters.

50% Recruiting

• Provide consultative and strategic recruiting services, including market research, competitive intelligence, sourcing, candidate assessment, client advice and candidate development.
• Independently manage client and candidate relationships and determine how to provide a best in class candidate and stakeholder experience through the interviewing and hiring process and meet talent acquisition goals.
• Independently manage the search and selection process for a wide range of roles which could include professional, technical, early career and other niche skill positions. (with minimal supervision)
• Independently make initial identification, screening and interviews decisions as to potential candidates and make recommendations as to the hiring of qualified candidates to Hiring Manager teams.
• Independently lead the staffing processes to include deciding processes to define required qualifications, intake meetings, networking, pipelining, talent identification and screening, development, assessment and selection and manage HR and manager partnerships.
• Support Carters diversity initiative by developing and executing on recruiting strategies and partnering with HR & business leaders creating diverse candidate pools for all positions. Identify, select and leverage external networks, professional organizations, available tools or resources, and market demographics to identify and pipeline a broad range of diverse external talent.
• Maintain communication with all related business partners in order to perform all related Talent Acquisition functions. Work through any communication gaps to ensure staffing effectiveness and efficiency.
• Asssit with creating and execute recruitment plans in order to achieve staffing metrics including submission to hire ratio, time in pipeline, time to fill and hiring manager/candidate satisfaction. Provide status reports on these metrics to include review of open requisition status and candidate throughput.
• Ensure consistency, efficiency and compliance with federal, state and local laws, and company policies. Ensure all TA activities are compliant with the established sourcing, recruiting, and selection procedures including maintaining appropriate recordkeeping

30% Candidate sourcing

• Engage in aggressive, creative, and productive sourcing activities to generate robust and diverse candidate slates and pipelines, including Boolean search, research, name-gen, cold-calling, and mining databases.
• Track work consistently in required tools such as candidate relationship (CRM) system, LinkedIn projects or applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Capture market and competitive intelligence from sourcing efforts, and document in a manner that makes it easy to share with key partners (e.g. Compensation).
• Leverage market intelligence and industry trends, including target companies and organizations, to build candidate slates and pipelines.
• Cultivate relationships with key candidates and specific talent pools -turn applicants from non-active to active by developing strong candidate relationships.
• Review resumes and credentials for appropriate skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements – screen key prospects.
• Ensure company complies with laws and regulations as it relates to online sourcing, recruiting and hiring practices.
• Updating and maintaining sourcing plans and lists of effective sources.

10% Talent Acquisition Projects & Initiatives

• Assist with the creation of and facilitate new recruitment initiatives and complete special projects as assigned.

10% College requisition management

Manage the college program EDP and intern requisitions during Spring and Fall recruiting seasons. Independently make initial identification, screening and interviews decisions as to potential candidates and make recommendations as to the hiring of qualified candidates to Hiring Manager teams.

Experience and Skills

• Motivated and process oriented sourcer with strong client and candidate management skills.
• Assertive, works with a sense of urgency, and has a strong work ethic.
• Deliver results with little supervision and effectively handle multiple and changing priorities in a fast paced environment while achieving defined goals
• Ability to understand, articulate and sell our culture and business initiatives.
• Deliver a balance of quality and quantity in candidate pipeline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong command of Microsoft office suite
• Previous experience with TA software and tools
• Demonstrated success using various sourcing techniques to find candidates for hard to fill positions.
• A minimum of two years of Talent Acquisition experience.
• The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
• Corporate recruitment experience for a retailer preferred.
• Recruiting expertise and knowledge of internet search tools and strong sourcing strategies.
• Experience creating and executing a wide range of recruiting initiatives.
• Normal office environment with limited travel.
• Role is based in our Buckhead office location.
