3-month contract (minimum)

£40 – £45 per hour, negotiable dependant on experience – Inside IR35
 

Are you an experienced Group Manager looking for your next challenge?
 
Our client is an ambitious authority who are seeking a Group Manager, with experience in traffic engineering and project management, network management and traffic regulation orders, to join them on a contract basis, initially for 3 months.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·Provide an effective, comprehensive, and integrated civil/municipal engineering service across the borough and to lead on matters related to the movement of people and goods on the highway network.
 
· Specifically provide a co-ordinated approach to the use of the highway, and the network co-ordination role, taking the role of Traffic Manager and to the development and implementation of programmes to improve road safety, accessibility to, and movement on, the highway.
 
·To manage staff (including temporary staff) and contractors and consultants allocated to these ends, including ensuring adequate cover is provided to deal with the service delivery as required.
 
·To be responsible for the effective and economic management of the day-to-day operations concerned with answering correspondence and representation as required.
 
What is required?
 
·As the successful candidate, you will have experience of working at a senior level within a local authority and have experience dealing with all stakeholders
 
·Experience of coordinating programmes of activity as well as leading specific projects that have achieved desired outcomes.
