Senior Geo-environmental Engineer
Are you a senior Geo-environmental engineer looking for a new and exciting role? Are you a geotechnical engineer looking for that next step up, with more responsibility and freedom?
In this Senior Geo-environmental Engineer role, you will provide research and testing for the hundreds of clients this consultancy is currently working with. Testing in phase 1 risk assessments and phase 2 investigation reports. This client also offers Coal mining risk assessments, Hazardous ground gas assessments, Remediation, and validation reports.
You will be at the forefront of the testing and sample collection; you can interact with our existing and perspective clients. As a representative of the company, you will need to provide the highest level of professional service.
What you will need:
Geotechnical knowledge and experience are required of around 2-3 years’ experience. Skills and experience candidates need consist of the following areas:
·Exploration methods and testing: Geotechnical instrumentation monitoring and laboratory testing soil and rock.
·Phase 1: Qualitative Risk Assessments.
·Investigation of Historical Mining and Quarrying Activities.
·Phase 2: Geo-environmental Investigations.
·Insitu & Geotechnical Laboratory Testing.
·Soil, Leachate and Groundwater Contamination Screening.
·Tier 1 – 4 Soil and Groundwater Quantitative
·Contamination Risk Assessments (CLEA UK, P20 etc.).
·Provision of Factual and Interpretative Phase 2: Reports.
Also required is a Civil engineering degree- with a focus towards either geo-environmental or geotechnical study.
 
Areas of experience that could be beneficial for an application but not required:
·Installation & Monitoring of Instrumentation.
·Landfill and Soil Vapor Monitoring and Assessment.
·Groundwater Monitoring & Modeling.
·Design of approved Remediation Statements / Strategies.
· Validation Monitoring and Reporting.
· Long Term Monitoring and Validation Works.
· Mine Shaft Investigation and Remediation.
· Concrete Coring & Testing.
· Slope Stability Assessments.
· Geophysical Investigations.
· Embankments and Earthworks Testing.
· Invasive Plant Surveys
· Flood Risk Assessments
They will be looking for someone with great communication skills, highly motivated to provide the best possible service and research to the clint’s. Someone that can work well as a part of a team and able to lead/teach less experienced employees. Must be flexible with working away for any site visits required of them.

·Company paid pension of 5%
·Death in service of four times annual salary.
·Discretionary bonus scheme- annual business performance.
