Senior Highway Engineer
 
We are currently assisting our client based in London, to find an experienced and available Senior Highways Engineer to join their busy Highways and Engineering department.
 
What the job is for:
   
Conducting feasibility studies leading to final design and implementation of schemes to current technical standards.
To prepare or assist in the preparation of technical design and contract documents
Formulate project programmes and liaison and co-ordination of stake holders to deliver project to time scale and budget.
Compile maintenance schemes / contracts and monitor progress of contracts and consultants to deliver cost effective maintenance of infrastructure.
Supervise, motivate and direct junior members of staff to promote project delivery to agreed timescale and budgets.
 
What you will need to succeed:
 
·Ability to demonstrate experience in Highways engineering
·General knowledge of Engineering, Highways and transport policies and associated legislation
·Good written and verbal communication skills
·Working knowledge of AutoCAD
·Able to work without close supervision
·Ability to keep good work records
·HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering / Transportation

Previous experience in Highways is essential for this role.
