Carrington West Looking for Project Manager at Greater London Full Time

Our client are a large Civil Contractor in the water industry. They work with several water companies across the UK including Anglian Water, Thames Water & Southern Water amongst others. They have a great reputation with their clients and work across the clean and waste water markets.
 
They are currently looking for a Project Manager to join the business to work in the waste water department, working on principle contracts. You will be responsible for the supervision of construction activities on several projects, as well as ensuring the successful completion of the contract.
 
The role is on a rolling contract basis and will fall outside of IR35. This position is for a contractor but they are open to someone going temp to perm if that is of interest. The role locations will be across London, the South East and occasionally further East.
 
Responsibilities:
 
·To ensure future work is planned and all labour, plant and materials are resources
·To build a team for the projects that will deliver
·Monitor and control labour and materials
·Manage sub contractors and their responsibilities
·Ensure toolbox talks, safety talks are undertaken by Supervisors & develop method statements and risk assessments
·Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations, subcontractors’ attendance, and records of work-related discussions with client
·Ensure Plant & equipment inspections are undertaken
·Ensure hazardous materials are stored, handled, used and disposed of in accordance with the COSHH assessment
·Report all health and safety incidents, including near misses and injuries, immediately, and assist with any incident investigations
·Ensure permits are received from local authorities and are completed
·Ensure the workplace is safe and tidy, making sure the teams follow procedures
·Develop safety plans and carry out safety inspections
·Monitor and control site waste
 
 
Requirements:
 
·EUSR card
·SSSTS
·HNC or degree in Civil Engineering or Construction
·Experience of Utility works – Water / Waste Water would be desirable
·Got IT skills including MS Office
·Temporary works Supervisor – Desirable
·Experience with Deep Drainage and/or Shafts
·Experience in MAnaging Streetworks and Excavations
