Carrington West Looking for Highways Technician/Engineer at Surrey Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highway Technician/Engineer to join a newly formed consultancy in Surrey. This a fantastic opportunity for a driven and ambitious individual who is looking for a new challenge. This is a full-time contract position (37.5 hours per week) which falls outside IR35. This role can also offer flexible working, 2 days per week in the office and 3 days per week from home. 

 
The role
 
·Mixture of private and public sector highways/traffic work including highway improvement schemes (walking and cycling, junction improvements, bus priority etc)
·Section 278/Section 38 Designs and Technical Assurance
·Public Realm Office Location
 
The individual
 
·Engineering Technician/Engineer that can work with minimum supervision and good knowledge of industry design standards
·Proficient in use of AutoCAD and add on packages, such as vehicle tracking or KeySIGN
·Understanding and experience of completing plant diversion processes in accordance with NRSWA
·Preparing BoQs for schemes from concept design stage through to detail design
·Understanding of CDM requirements for Designers, with a working knowledge of the responsibilities of the client and contractor
·Experience working on London projects
·Some ability to use Civil 3D (not essential)
