Carrington West Looking for Highways Site Engineer at Somerset Full Time

What we need
Carrington West are pleased to be working with a successful highways maintenance contractor, to find an available, reliable and experienced Site Engineer
 
What you will do
As Site Engineer you will be working with the companies Highways maintenance team to deliver various schemes predominantly in the Somerset (Cambridgeshire and surrounding area). Duties will include:
·Setting out permanent and temporary works
·Completing site surveys and providing records i.e. sketches/schedules
·On site co-ordination of activities
·Developing and reviewing safe systems of work
·Ensuring compliance with safe systems of work
·Ensuring all works comply with highways and project specification and drawings
·Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with approved ITP
·Carrying out quality assurance inspections and completing ITP check sheets
·Ensuring all activities on site are recorded through daily diaries and photographs
·Reviewing drawings and raising technical queries relating to the design
·Deliver workforce briefings
 
What you will need to succeed
·Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, MEng)
·Previous experience delivering Highways projects in a site role
·SSSTS or SMSTS
·Good written and oral communication skills
·The ability to communicate with site workforce
