Software Tester, Manual & Automation, .NET, SQL, Mainly Remote, Inside of IR35
Software Tester required to work for a Professional Services business based in Reading. However, due to Covid-19, this will be mainly remote and will initially be a 6 month contract INSIDE of IR35…starting ASAP!
The role is to help take the company on a journey, migrating from Salesforce over to Microsoft Stack technologies within their Payroll department (.NET and SQL). Read on for more details…
Experience required:
· Extensive knowledge of software testing practices and planning (essential)
· Proven experience as a tester or similar role (essential)
· Previous experience writing test scripts and documentation (essential)
· Salesforce knowledge (desirable)
· Automated testing tools knowledge (desirable)
· Understanding of Software Implementation or development life cycle (essential)
· Experienced in understanding file structures including CSV, flat and XML files (essential)
· MS Office including comprehensive Excel experience (essential)
· SharePoint (desirable)
· Experience of import/export of data into systems to carry out such work (essential)
· Must be capable of working with remotely located colleagues and clients using tools such as WebEx and Teams (essential)
· Understanding and experience of payroll (desirable)
Attribute:
· Strong on written and verbal communication skills to effectively work within the organisation on testing matters in business English to produce test scripts, error reports and other documentation
· Able to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years carrying out testing in an IT environment, including writing and executing tests and scenarios utilising various types of specifications
· Experienced in testing concepts, principles and methodologies
· Able to provide tactful, insightful feedback to maintain a good working relationship with other members of the team
· A great problem solver with an analytical mind, the ability to work in a team and individually
· Organised to plan, prioritise, and carry out several complex activities simultaneously while working under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
· Able to work in a fast paced environment with little supervision, owning tasks and following them through to completion
· Keen to take on new responsibilities and technologies
· Familiar with agile frameworks and QA methodology
