We are looking for an operator for a Cogen plant at the Pastore Center in Cranston, RI. The plant consists of 2 gas turbine generators with HRSG’s, one steam turbine, a black start generator, and all ancillary equipment including pumps, RO’s, tanks, and all associated piping. The position will include:

• Operating all plant equipment and systems in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain plant operating equipment and the premises in a clean and orderly manner.
• Record all reading and logs required to ensure proper operation of all plant equipment.
• Install, repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, electronic and pneumatic equipment including metering, instrumentation and controls.
• Maintain records on equipment as required.
• all unusual, improper or unsafe conditions to the direct supervisor.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Working a rotating shift and be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Be able to lift 50lbs using proper ergonomic techniques.
• Be able to safely climb ladders and stairs.
• Must be able to wear all associated PPE.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Effective writing and verbal skills.
• Be able to follow both written and oral instructions.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Must have practical knowledge of plant mechanical and electrical equipment
• Must have 3-5 years experience in a Cogen facility as an operator
• Have a High School Diploma or GED.

Pay Range:

$30.98 – $40.11 per hour
