JOB SUMMARY
Employees in this role are responsible for assisting with and performing duties related to the daily operations and maintenance of company owned gas pipelines, odorization, measurement, and pressure reduction equipment. Must have experience in natural gas. Must live within 30 minute of the Ford Blue Oval City.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Plan, organize and prioritize assigned responsibilities and coordinate work with employees and contractors.
· Coordinate and communicate with outside parties including landowners, public agencies, contractors, utilities, and other pipeline operators.
· Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
· Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
· Perform pipeline locates and monitor work of contractors and pipeline companies working around company pipelines and right-of-way.
· Responsible for pipeline maintenance and monitoring including damage prevention, corrosion, pipeline pigging, pressure maintenance, lost gas, line repairs, etc.
· Fill out applicable work/hot work permits, lockout/tagout documentation, attend and participate in tailgate sessions with others involved in work site activities.
· Monitor and control natural gas odorization equipment.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Strong commitment to safety and the environment.
· Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
· Reliable attendance at work.
· Natural gas system I&E experience a plus.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum 2+ years of natural gas pipeline related work experience.
· Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
· Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to include a safe driving record.
· Provide on-call support for areas of responsibility on a rotating basis.
· Job is subject to DOT drug testing compliance.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
· Frequent exposure to heat, cold, and other adverse weather conditions.
· Work in and around industrial and construction settings, which may include hazardous products, processes, materials and chemicals, and loud machinery.
· Follow and adhere to all applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines such as eye protection, hearing protection, footwear, Flame-resistant (FR) clothing, etc.
· Work outside of normal operating schedule and holidays as needed.
