About the Role:
Based in our Chatswood office in Sydney, reporting to the Finance Manager, we are seeking an experienced Financial analyst on a 12 month max-term contract who will partner with the business to drive month end reporting, identify risks and opportunities, maintain data integrity and support corporate reporting submissions and overall business decision making.

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Deliver accurate month end reporting in accordance with published timelines and accounting policies.
• Assist the preparation of annual planning and quarterly forecasts
• Ensuring all Finance reporting requirements are met in accordance with agreed corporate, divisional and local timelines
• Analysing of all areas to assist assigned departments in the achievement of targets.
• Continual process improvements identifying potential risks or efficiency opportunities and proposing solutions.
• Work cross functionally within Finance to align on changes and implement improvements

About You:
You’re a passionate about understanding the business with a keen operational interest to draw back to the financials. Your analytical and curious mind, combined with your superior communication skills, will see you to become a key point of contact within the Finance Department providing insights and performance improvement suggestions. Experience and exposure across both Finance and Operations departments will set you apart from the competition.

We’d love to hear from people with:

• 3 years’ experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role with reporting experience in a commercial business environment, preferably global or large corporate
• Clear communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to think strategically and consider the impact of decision making on operations
• Advanced Excel modelling, Proficient in TM1 or similar OLAP tools, including the creation of new executive reports
• Multicurrency experience and sound accounting knowledge
• Ability to see the big picture and think laterally with a keen sense for detail
• CA/CPA or CIMA preferred or working towards
