Carnegie’s Enrollment and Marketing Strategists are an integral part of the Research, Strategy, Creative division and perhaps the most diversely skilled role on any project. Enrollment and Marketing Strategists lead client partners, teammates, projects, and deliverables across a variety of products and services offered by the division. Individuals in this role drive integrated project teams in delivering on strategic client needs, serving as trusted, go-to experts for both clients and colleagues. Enrollment and Marketing Strategists are typically experts in at least one of two key disciplines – enrollment and/or marketing – and play a pivotal role in developing and presenting strategic enrollment, marketing, and communication recommendations and outcomes for Carnegie’s clients. Gathering key data through Carnegie’s proprietary methodology and best practices, the Enrollment and Marketing Strategist ensures strategies are well informed and aligned to meet client goals and generates outcomes to ensure client success.
Presentation and in-room leadership skills are paramount, as is critical thinking, ability to provide clear and insightful deliverables, and involving, inspiring, and informing cross-disciplinary team members. Enrollment and Marketing Strategists have a passion for understanding the client and consumer. Solving problems with a balanced analytical and creative mind will ensure strategies are productive and generate client satisfaction and opportunities for retention. This is a key, senior, client-facing role within which the individual must thrive in a remote work environment, be effective both working alone and within a team setting, able to travel across the U.S. for client engagements, and be independent and self-directed.
This role collaborates closely with numerous other roles at Carnegie to ensure a seamless and successful client experience within the division and across the enterprise. The role demands exceptional communication internally and externally; knowledge of higher education, including the challenges facing enrollment, marketing, and institutions across the landscape; ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues; and the desire to serve as a confidant and expert to client campus leaders.

Experience
Carnegie’s Enrollment and Marketing Strategists must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field. At least 12 years of experience in enrollment, marketing or strategic communications, or some combination, at an institution of higher education, higher education agency, or within a related industry. Proven results leading strategic projects and inter-disciplinary teams with a vast array of demonstrated success.
