Carmichael UK Looking for Site Engineer at Bristol Full Time

I currently have an exciting opportunity with a Tier 1 Contractor specialising in Highway Infrastructure.  I’m currently looking for an experienced site engineer to work on a road construction project in Bristol.

You will have worked on major roads projects in a live traffic environment and be familiar with drainage and vegetation clearance. You must be competent at setting out/ paperwork and sub-contractor management. 

Tasks: 

• Competent in highway setting out – i.e. structures, drainage, earthworks, pavements
• Able to work in line with company policy with respect to quality assurance i.e. ensure that the works is constructed in accordance with the works information / specification and records are compiled in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plans
• Robust knowledge of the Specification of Highway Works
• SMSTS, RD 8000 (Cat and Genny), live traffic experience preferred 
• Condition surveys, vegetation clearance initially carrying on to SMA live traffic works.

Skills & Experience:

• A Degree, Bachelors, MSc or HND in Civil Engineering
• Competent at setting out using  Leica equipment
• Experience working for a main contractor
• Supervisor qualifications ideally SSSTS
•  CSCS qualification
•  Basic site paperwork
