Senior Site Agent

An inside IR35 opportunity exist for an experienced Site Agent/Senior Site Agent who has extensive bridges/viaduct construction experience as gained working for a tier one or Principal Contractor. Your ability to deliver a project safely, within budget and on time whilst working collaboratively within an Alliance and nominated subcontractors is sought after. Engineers with temporary works or heavy lift accreditations are urgently requested to apply.

Your duties will include –

• Managing overall responsibility for delivery of sections of work safely and to time and budget.
• Setting a personal example in health safety and environmental matters through strong, visible leadership (including safety tours). Acting as a champion for all Alliance and supply chain employees. Actively supporting HSQE initiatives, both on the project and across business.
• Driving quality delivery through effective planning and right first-time delivery.
• Maintaining a good working relationship within the Alliance Project Team and promoting the values and behaviours both within the Alliance and with the supply chain.
• Maintaining a close working relationship with the Alliance procurement team to ensure compliant and advantageous procurement arrangements for the project.
• Establishing close working relationship with Works supervisory staff (Engineers / Works Managers / General Foreman) to ensure the cost-effective management of labour and plant.

Requirement for this post include –

• Extensive successful experience and knowledge on the construction and delivery of heavy reinforced concrete structures like bridges
• Tertiary Civil Engineering qualification, chartered or working towards chartership
• Proven tier one/Principal Contractor collaborative delivery experience within joint ventures or alliances
• Knowledge of construction techniques and contract law.
• SMSTS, CSCS, PTS (not essential), TW, AP
