Overview:
We are seeking a Deli Department Associate for our bustling gourmet market. This individual will be responsible for providing friendly, courteous and helpful customer service.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide superior customer service as defined by company policy
2. Make custom sandwiches and hoagies as specified by the customer
3. Educate customers about the imported and domestic charcuterie, and other products available within the market
4. Maintain the highest level of standards in all cutting and product preparation and preservation
5. Initiate suggestive selling and sampling of products
6. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
7. Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise
8. Participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock
9. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices
10. Communicate with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service

Qualifications:
1. Working knowledge of various deli meats and cheeses
2. Participation in continuous education to further knowledge of products
3. Ability to communicate clearly with customers and fellow associates
4. Proficiency in Customer Service
5. Ability to work overtime and weekends as requested by the company
