Accounting Manager Overview:

Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts; preparing financial statements.

General Job Duties:

• Prepares internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
• Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
• Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
• Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
• Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
• Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results and special projects as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Month End Close

Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements

Preparation of Financial Reports for Parent

Reconciliation of Cash Receipts

Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.

Cash Management, Ledger Activities/Journal Entries

Preparation of Annual Financial Information Schedules for Auditors

Reconciliation of Annual Financial Information for Parent

Maintenance of Fixed Assets and Depreciation schedules

Dashboard Reporting using Power BI, SQL and Excel Power Query

Maintain Job Costing Standards and GP Analysis

Inventory Cycle Counting

Backup Support for Payroll & Accounts Payable

Tax Processing

Skills and Qualifications:

Understanding of GAAP, Accounting, Reporting Skills, Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Fluent working with spreadsheets (Excel), Detail oriented to assure accuracy, Verbal Communications

Ability to Work with Little to No Supervision

Paylocity Payroll System a plus

Educational background: Bachelors’ degree in accounting or finance, CPA a plus

Experience: 3-5 years in corporate or public accounting

Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience
