Carilion Clinic Hiring for Patient Appointment Scheduler- (NRV) remote work option available at Roanoke, VA Full Time

Candidate must live within 2 hours or 120 miles of Roanoke, VA.

Position requires candidate to complete training at clinic office in Blacksburg, VA. Once training is complete, position will be fully remote.

Schedules patients for appointments with multiple specialty practices across a wide geographic range throughout western Virginia. Receives inbound calls and places outbound calls in a high call volume environment. Critical thinking skills required. Excellent customer service is needed. Bilingual is a plus.

What We Require

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree or continued administrative education preferred.

Experience: Three years experience in a customer service or call center position, preferably in a healthcare.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must be customer driven. Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute. Ability to work with diverse groups under stressful conditions. Ability to process a high volume of calls in information and technologically intensive environment. Effective multitasking is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology and Microsoft software applications preferred. Bilingual preferred.
