Job Purpose and Impact

The Forwarding Assistant will conduct export activities in manufacturing to optimize resource use, and minimize costs. In this role, you will contribute to conducting data management, ing and compliance, shipping, client interaction, business partnership and people. Key Accountabilities

Performs scheduling and dispatch duties by planning and directing the activity of carriers or equipment

Perform administrative or clerical duties in support of the shipment execution process, completing tasks using industry-standard procedures.

Plan, manage, and review production operations to achieve output and quality objectives.

Solicit, collect, and organize documentation and data and enter routine data into one or more systems.

Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma, secondary education level, or equivalent

Minimum of two years of related work experience

Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as needed by the business

Microsoft Office Suite experience including proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience in freight forwarding and/or customs clearance.
